“Check”, “Have”, and “Go”

Follow the checklist below in order to pre-register or register to vote:

1. Check if you are an eligible voter. In order to be an eligible voter you must meet the following criteria:

• a) Be a citizen of the United States of America
• b) Be a legal resident of the state of Florida
• c) Be a legal resident of the county in which you seek to be registered
• d) Be at least 16 years old to preregister or at least 18 years old to register and vote
• e) Not be deemed mentally incapacitated by the state of Florida or any other state
• f) Not be convicted of a felony without having your rights to vote restored

2. Have your Florida Identification Card (Driver License, Learning Permit, Identification Card) and your Social Security Number (SSN) accessible

3. Go to registertovoteflorida.gov and click on “Register or Update” and follow the steps.
